We found Norris Lake in 2001, Purchased land and build our first rental cabin in Lone Mountain shores.

Randy was working as a forman installing Windows and Doors in Cincinnati and I (Kathy) Was a School Bus driver at Sycamore schools. When all the fun Began!

Getaway Log Cabin was completed May of 2002 and a company began. Norris Lake Cabin Rentals. We Purchased a 13 acre farm house iin 2005 and made the move in October. Getaway Log cabin sold in 2006. By this time our company had grown to 28 homes. We turned the farmhouse into a small grocery, Resturant in 2007 while running the rentals. In 2008 the ecomomy crashed. Rentals were non existant, building stopped, so we lost our lunch croud at Nixons Country store so we shut it down and moved back into the farmhouse.

2016 the ecomomy returned and the rentals began to flurish. We rented a building in Tazewell and moved the business. After operating for 2 years we decided to add on to the farmhouse. The farmhouse went from 750 sf to 1800 sf. We moved the office back home and continue to grow.
